ZHE LI
My name is Zhe Li, born in China with a deep passion for storytelling
and visual arts. After earning my undergraduate degree in film directing,
I spent two years at Tencent as an assistant director, where I discovered
my talent for film editing and expanded my expertise in multiple areas of
filmmaking.
I’ve worked on various projects, from commercials to independent films,
taking on roles such as director, editor, writer, and sound designer.
To deepen my skills, I pursued a master’s degree in film production in the U.S.
and currently split my time between Los Angeles and San Francisco. While
filmmaking is my main focus, I also have a strong passion for cooking, which
I view as an art form similar to filmmaking. Both require creativity, balance,
and an ability to blend diverse elements into something meaningful.
Right now, I’m preparing my first feature film and working on an animation
project. I believe that films, like a well-prepared meal, can comfort and inspire,
helping us explore life’s complexities. Through my work, I aim to create stories
that resonate and leave a lasting impression, just like a memorable dish.
Let’s cook up some stories together.
Roll Scene Take
I always say this is not a movie
“it’s just pointless lamentation "

“ET Phone Home"
Let’s be clear: I’m an alien actually. My brain
just doesn’t work like Earthlings. While most
people are busy with everyday life, I’m sorting
through my otherworldly memories.
Since interstellar communication isn't quite there
yet, I turned to filmmaking. It’s the best way I’ve
found to communicate with humans.
Currently preparing my first feature film, inspired
by my "alien" memories. When I’m not working on
that, I’m busy creatingcommercials, documentaries,
and short films.
My goal? Blend my cosmic brain with Earthly
stories and have a little fun along the way.
